Is God your crutch?

Do you “lean” on Him only in tumultuous , troubling, & trying times? As life goes by at ease with no “too hard for me” situations, do you even acknowledge that God is still ever present in all, everywhere, & at all times? God is here during the GOOD and bad times but we sometimes tend to forget that when life is at its best .
Psalm 139:7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
Jeremiah 23:23-24“Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Let’s say that God has a metaphorical “inbox”. How often do you overload it?? Is it only with personal petitions here and there during rough times, or is God pleased on a daily basis to hear praise, thanksgiving, & intercessory prayer for others from you?
Phillipians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

Psalm 145:18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Prayer must be done faithfully and through the spirit. So many of us render up vain petitions and wonder if our prayers get lost in the clouds.. If we pray in a manner that does not acknowledge the will of God first then we are praying to the air only. It’s His will not ours..and this is what so many “followers of Christ” don’t recognize. The most important thing we need is the holy spirit dwelling in us to help us understand what God has planned for us! If we have not the spirit, then we have not faith!! When God doesn’t answer our prayers, without the holy spirit we will become bitter toward God for not fulfilling our every selfish petition. The holy spirit will help us to discern why God isn’t answering our prayer because it’s his own will that is always best for us! The holy spirit helps us to live a righteous life by conviction in our hearts when we start to go off on the wrong path. He turns us back around in the direction we should be going in – towards Christ!
Romans 8:11 – But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
So many people take this verse literally but give no merit to it’s most important point. Whats that you ask? Righteousness. How can you expect an all knowing God to cater to your every request if you do not honor him on a daily basis by your way of conduct in a God-fearing, righteous, & spiritual manner of living? If you want God to fully honor you as his child then return him the favor by fully honoring him first. We cannot expect God to just bless, protect, & provide, if we in turn have no intention of fully serving him. Don’t be half-hearted with God, but give him your whole heart and then watch the blessings rain down. You will even see unanswered prayers as blessings as the holy spirit starts to remove the veil from our eyes to enable us to understand the will of God. With that we will see it’s what we’ve been lacking all along. The holy spirit will help you in understanding that Gods will is and always will be supreme over ours!!
Galatians 5:25 If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Has The Gospel Changed?

Mt 1:1 ¶ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

Mt 3:1 ¶  In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

A careful examination of these two men’s preaching will reveal they said the same thing!! Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Neither one came preaching- “Jesus loves you”!!  Neither one said- “take Jesus in your heart”… or repeat after me—raise your hand –or sign this card!!!

And a close examination- of the 14 Apostles- none of them ever said them things either!! Not even Paul!! John was the only one that really talked about God’s love- and he “always referenced it to God’s people-(people who were saved)..

And Peter in his famous sermon on the day of Pentecost contained the same words-REPENT!!

So how did the original Gospel change from the words of John the Baptist- and Jesus Christ???   Well God’s word has “never changed”!!!

John the Baptist called his congregation–  O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Jesus called his congregation-Mt 12:34— O generation of vipers,

 Mt 15:7 Ye hypocrites,

Peter called his congregation a bunch of murderess-Ac 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

None of the above would be popular today!!!But this is how the Gospel started!

What has changed is the way the liberal preachers of the past 3 to 400 years have changed it- Prior to the 16^th century there were “two” so called Christian beliefs- There were a group since Christ and the apostles called the “Anti Baptist” (still here today)- and then the second was the great powerful state church called

“The Roman Catholic Church” (still here today) Only now it’s against the law to kill the Anti Baptist!!! Before 1600 it wasn’t!! And they killed over 5 million of them.  There were no—“universal non denominational” Church’s prior to early 1900… Jesus never instituted a universal-non denominational  church!! Secular history tells us a lot of church history-  But people don’t seem to want to look at history—

But to look at sermons that were delivered prior to 1600- (from the Anti Baptist-) it was primarily-“repent for the kingdom of God is at hand!! Salvation was preached- baptism was taught- and church membership followed!!

(people don’t hold membership in church’s anymore-  they just attend)

And bible studies-and prayer meeting were a common thing in the church-

Private homes held both-quite often-

Children were taught from youth up to serve Christ and his church..

Hell was “commonly” preached that it was a place of torment for those who have rejected Christ and his word.. Today we hear very little on that subject,,,, Tell people they will go to hell-  they don’t come back- they go somewhere to hear “Jesus loves you”!

Just as the Multitudes followed Christ- Not for his words of eternal life but for the bread and fish!!

Joh 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

 Tell them Jesus loves them- and they will come back– Tell them there a sinner and will go to hell without Christ-  they will go somewhere else..And they do!!

I see today-the Southern Baptist- The largest group of Baptist in America- are now desperate enough for people to come that they now have every Friday night- movies- popcorn and punch!! This was “never “taught”  By John the Baptist or Christ or the Apostles!! And many are turning their mid-week service into the same- And others have completely dropped their mid week service—The only service the New testament teaches is- “On the first day of the week” And even then =it’s almost impossible to get people to come.

What is the reason for all this??

As long as I tell you, you won’t go to jail for stealing- you will continue to steal..

As long as the liberal preachers tell you “Jesus loves you” you will continue to sin and live “superficially”- What I do is not that important-  Jesus loves me!!!

The liberal preachers and evangelist are giving “lost people” a false hope!! That Jesus loves them-  when he don’t!!!  There is,– and is going to be a multitude of people in hell- that have been told- “Jesus loves them”!! And the modern day Evangelist and preachers will give an account to God for their false teachings!!

This “Jesus Love you” evangelism got its first start-“big time” with a man called “Billie Sunday” He left the main line of church membership(Presbyterian) and stared what he called- conservative Christianity-(independent)  He went on his own-with no church authority– He also popularized “Tent revivals” (might also ad he died a very wealthy man)  

 Sunday spoke four times per day and effectively made $217 per sermon or $870 a day at a time when the average gainfully employed worker made $836 per year. The major cities of Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston, and New York City gave Sunday even larger offerings. Sunday donated Chicago’s offering of $58,000 to Pacific Garden Mission and the $120,500 New York offering to war charities.(Notice he gave more to charities-than to churchs!!) Nevertheless, between 1908 and 1920, the Sundays earned over a million dollars; an average worker during the same period earned less than $14,000.

And then his follower- Which many don’t like me for mentioning (smile)

Was none other than the “famous” Billy Graham” He left the S. Baptist church-And went “on his own” with not church authority!!.. He took what Billy Sunday did and popularized it –into Hugh tent revivals-as history shows..

Might also add- he out did Billy Sunday- financially-

Billy Graham is an American evangelical Christian evangelist, he has a net worth of $25 million.  THIS IS HIS PERSONALL WEALTH!! HE IS AMOUNG THE WEALTHEST MEN IN AMERICA!! (although it is doing him no good-for God has taken his mind away)

And so as a result of these two men and many that have followed them-  “The gospel” has changed”!!. And most of the Modern day evangelist today- are “on their own” with no church authority!! I’m sure you all remember-Jimmy & Tammy Bakker—(smile)

A good deal of the money went into Heritage USA‘s operating expenses, and Bakker kept $3.4 million in bonuses for himself. A $279,000 payoff for the silence of Jessica Hahn, a staff secretary at the church, was paid with PTL’s funds to Hahn through Bakker associate Roe Messner, who later married Tammy Fay Bakker.

-And again- “NO CHURCH AUTHORITY” Independent!!

Ga 1:6 ¶ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed….

The Apostle Paul ran into this in his personnel ministry—They were changing the Gospel then-  The law and grace have been a great controversy since Christ and the Apostles  —And still is in his church’s- Dare any preacher today to tell you that you are a sinner- and will go to Hell without the grace of God… But the popular preaching is John 3:16 Jesus Loves you..

Many will be “accursed” for their false preaching!!! Many say they are followers of Christ-  But they do not follow the gospel he preached!!

REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND********
